If you've ever watched Fixer Upper, you know the rhythm.
Chip swings a sledgehammer through a load-bearing wall. Joanna looks lovingly at a piece of shiplap. The homeowners cry. A golden retriever wanders in. Then forty-four minutes of dust and decisions later, the place is unrecognizable.
That's us. We're in the dust-and-decisions part.
The chapel is officially under construction. The walls are doing their thing. And we are doing ours, in the cultural hall, on folding chairs, with the piano dragged across the floor and the sacrament table set up on the stage like a really reverent open mic night.
It's not chaos. It's just a complicated layout.

The Floor Plan (read this part)
The chapel and the main west foyer are closed, including the bathrooms and the mother's room on that side. The north doors to the cultural hall are blocked. Please steer clear of all construction areas.
Sacrament Meeting is in the cultural hall for roughly the next 8 weeks. The lectern, sacrament table, and piano are near the stage. Plastic chairs are set up facing the stage.
The pews and organ from the chapel are stored at the north end of the cultural hall, please keep yourself and your kids out of that area.
Parking: Use the east, south, or south-west lots. The west foyer is not a door right now.
A few other rooms are out of commission:
-
Library is closed. Supplies were moved to room 117, so 117 is not a classroom this round.
-
Room 114 (directly west of the stage) is closed.
-
Kitchen is the sacrament prep zone. All supplies live there.
Updates will keep coming. Thank you for rolling with it.

"Be Strong and of a Good Courage" β Joshua 1β8; 23β24
Joshua takes over from Moses. The Lord tells him, three times in eight verses, to be strong and have courage. Then He sends him at a walled city with a marching band.
Seven days. One trumpet section. No sledgehammers.
The walls came down anyway.
It's worth noticing, Israel didn't tear Jericho down. They showed up. They walked. They blew horns. The Lord did the demo.
We're staring at our own walls right now. Some of them are literal and made of drywall. Some of them aren't.
Be strong. Have good courage.
The Lord still does the demo.
