Dripping Springs Ward Newsletter
Church is online, the roads are not, and your blanket is now your pew. |

|
Sunday looks a little different, but the heart of our ward hasn’t changed one bit. While the roads may be frozen and the church building is taking the day off, our ward is still very much gathered, just from couches, kitchens, and living rooms across the area.
One of the blessings of a day like Sunday is the reminder that church has never been about a building. It’s about people who care for one another, look out for each other, and choose to worship together no matter the circumstances. Whether you’re bundled up with family, tuning in solo, or watching with a neighbor you checked on this morning, you belong here.
Thank you for showing up, for staying safe, and for being the kind of ward that turns an ice storm into another opportunity to love, serve, and stay connected. Let’s worship together and feel the warmth of the Spirit, even if Texas forgot how winter works.

Bishop’s Message
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
To be Cautious, with the freezing temperatures and moisture forecast for this weekend, we are canceling in-person Church meetings for this Sunday January 25th.
We will be holding a virtual Sacrament meeting during our usual 10:30am time slot. Here is the link to join us: Online meeting link removed from archive
At the conclusion of the meeting I authorize worthy priesthood holders to provide the sacrament to their families in their own homes. If requested, worthy priesthood holders may also provide sacrament to others outside there homes later in the day if it is safe to travel. Please prepare accordingly.
Stay Safe and Warm. With love,
Bishop Christensen

Ice storms make the world smaller, and ministering makes it warmer.
-
Check on your people, especially during this weather.
-
Take it a step further and prayerfully consider who you could reach out to.
-
If someone reaches out to you, consider how they may be able to help you.
-
Being served and giving service provide blessings and love for all those involved.

“Teach These Things Freely unto Your Children”
Genesis 5; Moses 6
Frozen Takeaway: This week is all about passing faith down the family line, even if your family line is currently passing around a space heater.
Quick idea for home study:
-
Read: Genesis 5 (the family line)
-
Talk: “What do we want our kids to inherit from us spiritually?”
-
Do: Share one story of when you felt God help your family.
