Costco

Dripping Springs Ward Newsletter
Costco Edition

You came for one thing. You left with way more than you planned.

Nobody goes to Costco expecting it to be quick. You walk in confident and focused, and somehow end up in the checkout line holding items you never discussed with yourself beforehand.

Church can feel the same way. You show up planning to sit quietly and then a hymn, a thought, or a comment lands harder than expected. You leave carrying something you didn’t plan on, but you’re better for it.

Welcome to Costco Sunday. No membership required. Samples encouraged. Bulk blessings guaranteed.

Ministering Reminder

Ministering is not about checking a box. It’s noticing someone wandering the emotional aisles and offering help before they ask.

A text. A visit. A quick “thinking of you.” Small things. Big impact.
YOUTH ACTIVITIES

Wednesday at 7:00 PM | Food Court Energy

  • Young Men (Combined): Pickleball at the Stake Center

Competitive games, questionable athletic confidence, and at least one person who insists they “used to be really good at this.”

  • Young Women (Combined): Goal setting, hot dogs, and games at the Orsak’s home

Big goals, good conversations, and hot dogs that would absolutely be $1.50 if Costco were catering. Inflation has not yet reached this activity.

Come Follow Me

In the Beginning God Created the Heaven and the Earth

Genesis 1–2; Moses 2–3; Abraham 4–5

Creation week is a good reminder that God doesn’t rush His work. He builds with intention, pauses to notice progress, and calls things good long before everything is finished.

If life feels a little unfinished right now, that’s not a problem. It’s part of the process. God is still creating, and you’re still becoming.
