📖 Come, Follow Me: “His Sacrifice Shall Be More Sacred unto Me Than His Increase”

Doctrine and Covenants 115–120

 

This week we learn that God doesn’t measure success the way the world does. He’s not tracking your stats, spreadsheets, or social following. He’s focused on the sacredness of your sacrifice, no matter how small. The early Saints gave everything to build the foundations of Zion. Today, your sacrifice might look like patience with a toddler, a heartfelt prayer, or a quiet moment spent helping someone who didn’t ask but needed it.

 

The Lord told the Saints, “Let the city, Far West, be a holy and consecrated land unto me.” But building Zion wasn’t about blueprints. It was about hearts. And it still is.

 

“Verily I say unto you, all among them who know their hearts are honest, and are broken, and their spirits contrite, and are willing to observe their covenants by sacrifice… are accepted of me.” (D&C 117:16)

So this week, instead of worrying about what you’re not doing, focus on offering what you can. That will always be enough for Him.

    Crack codes, solve puzzles, and unlock truths. You’ll need teamwork, quick thinking, and just enough reverence to get out in time.

Your ministering assignment might seem small, but small acts hold infinite power.

A text. A doorstep visit. A shared scripture. All of it matters.

👩‍🚀 Missionary Section – Sisterhood of the Traveling Spirit

Our Sister Missionaries are doing the Lord’s work full-time. Let’s help them stay spiritually and physically fueled.

  • 🍽️ Invite the Sisters for Dinner

    Nothing beats a home-cooked meal and a warm welcome. Invite them over, share a message, and help them feel supported while they’re away from home.

    Whether it’s soup and salad or pizza and testimony, your invitation matters.

  • 👭 Go Out With the Sisters

    Walk with them. Sit with them. Testify with them. You don’t need to be perfect. Just be present.

    Ask when you can join them. Even a short visit makes a difference.

  • ⏰ Ward-Wide Prayer at 10:01

    Set an alarm for 10:01 AM or PM. As a ward, we are praying every day for the missionaries to find and teach those who are ready.

    Pray that the Spirit will guide them. Pray that we will recognize opportunities to help.

    One prayer. One purpose. One united effort to bring souls to Christ.

There was an idea.

Not to create perfect people.
But to gather covenant-keepers. A strange little ward with loud kids, quiet faith, spiritual giants, and brand-new believers.

The kind of people who answer callings no one sees.
Who bring soup without being asked.
Who keep showing up, even when the pew feels heavy.

You’re not here by accident.
You’re sealed into this mission.

You’ve got a shield. It’s called faith.
You’ve got a team. It’s called the Church.
You’ve got backup. His name is Jesus Christ.

Now get out there. Minister like it matters.
And testify like the multiverse depends on it.
