🌲 Special Sunday School

The stations are back by popular demand. Choose your own adventure!

🎶 Music | 🌳 Nature | 📜 Prophetic Teachings | 📖 Scripture Study

Think of it like flipping through Carl & Ellie’s “Adventure Book,” only this time the Spirit fills in the pages.

📖 Come, Follow Me: Sept 1–7

“For the Salvation of Zion” – Doctrine & Covenants 94–97

Carl’s house floated because of thousands of balloons, each one adding lift. Zion is built the same way, except our balloons are covenants, service, prayer, and small acts of goodness. Every choice we make to follow Christ is like tying one more balloon to our own discipleship.

This week, ask yourself:

  • Which balloons in my life are already lifting me closer to Zion?

  • What new balloon could I add, such as scripture study, ministering, or forgiveness, that would help me rise a little higher?

  • How can I help lift someone else’s house with my strings tied to theirs?

Adventure is not just about flying away. It is about rising together.

🧬 Family History Hour

Do your thing. And remember, Carl needed Russell, Russell needed Dug, Dug needed snacks. Ministering goes both ways. Who can you lift this week? And who’s lifting you?

🎈 Final Thought – Adventure Is Closer Than You Think

In UP, Carl thought his great adventure was waiting at Paradise Falls. He packed balloons, maps, and a lifetime of plans. But in the end, he realized the real adventure was not a destination. It was the people who had walked (and waddled) with him all along.

We are often tempted to look for “big adventures” in life: a trip, a milestone, a perfect plan. But just like Carl and Russell learned, the greatest adventures are tucked inside the everyday moments: helping a neighbor, sharing a meal, teaching a child, or simply sitting with someone who needs company.

So here is your invitation this week:

  • Do not wait for Paradise Falls. Notice the adventures happening right here in Zion.

  • Fill someone else’s balloon. A kind word, a ministering visit, or an invite to choir might lift them more than you will ever know.

  • Keep your own “Adventure Book.” Not for exotic trips, but for the sacred, simple stories that show the Lord’s hand in your life.

Adventure is out there. But the kind that saves souls and builds Zion? That is already here, waiting for you.
