🌈 Come, Follow Me - This Week’s Course: “Rainbow Road to Glory”
July 7–13: Doctrine & Covenants 76
“Great Shall Be Their Reward and Eternal Shall Be Their Glory”
This section is basically the gold trophy cup of revelation. Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon were shown a vision of the degrees of glory: Celestial, Terrestrial, and Telestial. You could call it… Heaven’s podium. 🥇🥈🥉
Power-Up Thought:
“Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard… the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” –1 Corinthians 2:9
Heaven’s better than we can imagine. Keep driving toward it.

🚧 Special Announcements – Detours, Devastation & Discipleship
🛣️ New Route to Church
The old turn at Convict Hill is CLOSED. Your new entrance is about 1000 feet before the original turn and looks like a freeway off ramp. (Don’t worry, no shells.)
⚠️ Leaving church: The Convict Hill exit is right-turn only, so plan your escape route accordingly. Or just pretend you’re dodging a blue shell and drift in style.
💔 Hill Country Flood Relief Efforts
Dear members of the Oak Hills Stake,
We’re heartbroken by the loss of life and devastation near Kerrville this week. Many have asked how to help.
If you or someone you know is in need, please reach out to a member of the elders quorum presidency, Relief Society presidency, or bishopric so we can coordinate help.
In the meantime, the Ragus (Stake JustServe coordinators) and Sarah Morse (Stake Communication Director) have compiled ways to get involved. You’ll find details on the stake website and flyer, but here’s a quick start:
-
🧰 Austin Disaster Relief Network: A coalition of local churches responding now
-
🐾 Austin Pets Alive & Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter: Helping displaced pets
-
📦 Hays County Precinct 2: Accepting donations Sunday morning.
Thank you for loving your neighbor and bringing hope to those who need it most.

🧑🤝🧑 Ministering Reminder – Your Red Shell is Love
Let’s face it. Ministering isn’t about flashy tricks or shortcuts. It’s about steady laps, showing up, and being there even when someone’s kart is in the ditch.
This week, try this:
Send a text that simply says, “Just checking in, want a banana muffin or a Mario Kart rematch?” (Food and fun = fellowship.)
Extra boost if you bring someone a “1-Up” treat. That’s just ministering with mushrooms. |

👕 Missionary Work – No Side Quests, Just the Main Mission
Even if you’re not drifting around Rainbow Road in a white shirt and tie, you’re still part of the race. The missionaries are out there every day spreading the gospel, and we can be their best pit crew.
Here’s how to support the cause this week:
-
Feed the missionaries – because spiritual work runs better on full stomachs
-
Go out with them – it’s like co-op mode for the gospel
-
Pray for them by name – give them divine power-ups
-
Invite a friend to church – sometimes all it takes is one invite to change a lap forever
We may not all be in the driver’s seat full-time, but we are all in the race. Let’s help them keep their engines running.

✨ Final Thought – “Finish the Race”
Mario Kart has a funny way of reflecting life. You start strong, someone hits you with a shell, and maybe you fly off the edge a time or two. But if you stay on the track and keep going, you finish. And that finish line is worth it.
Doctrine & Covenants 76 gives us a glimpse of what’s waiting: glory, reward, and a place with our Heavenly Father. So even if this week has been full of detours, delays, or downright disasters, remember that God sees the whole course. And He’s cheering for you and giving you more power-ups then you can even recognize.
You’ve got this. Just keep driving.
