D&C 67–70: “Worth … the Riches of the Whole Earth”

 

In this week’s study, the Lord reminds His saints and us that spiritual riches far outweigh any earthly wealth. These revelations emphasize the value of obedience, the power of testimony, and the sacred responsibility to share the word.


💬 “He that is faithful shall be made ruler over many things.” (D&C 70:14)

 

So whether you feel like a President Barbie or a I-Forgot-to-Read-My-Scriptures Skipper, this is your week to re-center. You’re more than enough. You’re chosen. You’re His. And that’s the kind of richness that can’t be found in a Dreamhouse.

It’s High Council Sunday, and this week we get to hear from:

🧒 Youth Activities – Wednesday @ 7PM

Calling all Barbies, Kens, and Science Kens!

 

  • 👩‍🎨 YW 16–18 – Get creative with driveway chalk art. You + sidewalk = gospel masterpiece.

  • 💦 YW 12–15 – Water balloon + slip ’n slide bash at the Orsaks’. Dress for splashy Barbiecore chaos.

  • 🧬 Teachers & Deacons – Homemade pizzas, swimming, and science experiments at the Slades’ house. That’s right. Pizza and lab coats.

  • 🧑‍💻 Priests – Bring your laptop and help build the kingdom with a Temple Indexing Night at Bishop’s.

Don’t worry if you’re not “officially” a Barbie or Ken. Everyone has a place in the gospel toy box.

Adults and youth, prepare for a choose-your-own-adventure Sunday School.

You’ll select from four stations:

🎶 Music | 🌳 Nature | 📜 Prophetic Teachings | 📖 Scripture Study

 

Each setting is designed to help you seek personal inspiration about ministering with love. Ask yourself:

 

“Where can I best hear Him?”

 

The Spirit might just show up in places more colorful than you expected.

 

💌 Ministering Reminder - “You Can Sit With Us.”

 

 

Ministering isn’t just about showing up, it’s about seeing people. In Barbie, no one had to be perfect to be loved, and the same goes here. You don’t need a Dreamhouse, a calling, or matching outfits to minister, you just need a willing heart.

 

💬 “Love thy neighbor” doesn’t come with a dress code. it just starts with a text, a porch visit, or an invite to dinner.

Take a minute this week to check in with someone. Even Barbie would say: Friendship is always in fashion.

🍽️ Feeding the Missionaries:

They may not have pink convertibles, but they do have a hunger for teaching and tacos. If you’ve been meaning to sign up, now’s the time. Need ideas? Invite them to dinner, or drop off a treat with a note of encouragement.

 

🚪 Going Out with the Missionaries:

Got a free hour? Ask them if you can tag along. You don’t have to be “Missionary Barbie” to make a difference, just willing. Every contact, every door, every testimony shared helps build the kingdom.

💡 Final Thought – The Gospel According to Barbie

Let’s be real: Barbie has had over 200 careers, 60 years of spotlight, and more pink heels than the Relief Society closet has folding chairs. But if Barbie taught us anything, it’s this: You can do anything… especially when you know who you are.

 

The Lord’s words in D&C 68:6 say it better:

 

“Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you…”

 

We live in a world of changing trends and fast fashion testimonies. But the gospel? That’s your forever-fit. It’s bold. It’s beautiful. And it looks good on you.

 

So whether this week finds you slipping on heavenly heels or tripping over your mortal shoelaces, just know you are chosen. You are called. You are loved.

 

And if Barbie had a testimony? She’d probably bear it in glitter gel pen, but she’d mean every word.
