Ward Wars: Return of the Sacrament

🧭 Come, Follow Me: May 5–11

“The Promises … Shall Be Fulfilled” – Doctrine & Covenants 45

This week’s study reminds us that even in dark times, the Lord’s promises shine brighter than the twin suns of Tatooine.

“Fear not, little flock…” (D&C 45:35)

When the galaxy feels uncertain, remember—our Redeemer is not far, and His return is the ultimate rescue mission.

Spiritual Jedi Challenge:

Ponder how the Savior’s Second Coming brings peace—not fear. What promises are you holding onto this week?

🎯Youth Activities – Wednesday @7PM

“Much to learn you still have… but first, we play.” – Yoda

Young Men (Combined):

Wiffle Ball Showdown

Location: Highpointe Amenity Center

Bring your best Jedi reflexes and don’t underestimate the power of the plastic bat.

Young Women (Combined):

Mother’s Day Gift Making

At Melissa Orsak’s home.

Craft you must. Impress moms you will.

🛸 Sunday Program: May The 4th Be With You

May 4 – Stake Conference

Time: 10:00AM at the Stake Center

“The Force is strong with this one.” (Especially the Stake President.)

🧡 Ministering Moment

“Help me, [ministering companion’s name], you’re my only hope.”

Check in on those you minister to this week. A quick message or visit can mean more than an Ewok celebration after the Empire falls.

“In a dark place we find ourselves, and a little more knowledge lights our way.” – Yoda

Moroni’s Quest – Volunteers Needed!

“Yeah, Moroni’s the guy you’d want leading your rebel base. Wrote his own mission statement and dared anyone to mess with it.”

💡 Adults needed for short reenactments at Moroni’s Quest – June 19–21 in Dripping Springs.

🎭 No experience required. Costumes provided. Roles are flexible.

✨ Final Thought: The Light Side Is Strong With You

In Star Wars, it’s often the small, unexpected heroes who make the biggest difference—a farm boy from Tatooine, a smuggler with a conscience, a tiny green Jedi with a strange way of speaking. In the gospel, it’s the same. You don’t need to be the loudest voice, the strongest presence, or the most “put together” person to bring light to others.

“Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.” – Yoda

We are children of a God of miracles, purpose, and infinite love. As we wait for the Savior’s return (as Doctrine & Covenants 45 reminds us), we’re not meant to sit back and watch the stars. We’re meant to serve, strengthen, and shine. Every act of kindness, every calling fulfilled, every child taught, every sacrament meeting attended—it all builds the kingdom, one choice at a time.

“In my experience, there is no such thing as luck.” – Obi-Wan Kenobi

There is, however, divine guidance, personal revelation, and a still, small voice that leads us home.

So whether you’re feeling like Luke on Hoth (cold and overwhelmed) or Rey discovering her place in the story, remember:

You matter in this ward. You matter in the Lord’s plan.

And the Force? Well, it’s nothing compared to the Holy Ghost.

May the Spirit be with you—always. 🛸
