The Ocean Chose You

This Week in the Ward – April 7–13, 2025

🌺Come Follow Me

Doctrine & Covenants 30–36

“Sometimes our strengths lie beneath the surface.”

This week, as we study the Lord’s call to early missionaries, we remember that He knows what’s inside us—even when we don’t see it yet. Open your mouth, and it shall be filled. Your light was meant to shine.

🐚 Discussion Starters:

• Why does God call imperfect people to serve?

• What does “open your mouth and it shall be filled” mean to you?

• What’s something hard you feel God is asking you to do?

• How can you support someone else who’s been called to do something brave?

🌴 Youth Activities – Wednesday, April 9 at 7PM

“If you wear a dress and have an animal sidekick, you’re a princess.” —Maui 😂

Here’s what our adventure-ready youth are up to this week:

• Older Young Women & Priests – Swing dancing at the church 💃🕺

• Young Women (12–15) – Horseback riding at the Skinner’s 🐎

• Teachers & Deacons – Trivia Night at the Hamptons 🧠✨

Bonus Quest:

April 11–12 – YW Campout at Muleshoe Bend 🏕️

Pack your strength, your light, and maybe a granola bar.

📺 No Sacrament Meeting – General Conference Weekend

“The call isn’t out there at all, it’s inside me.”

Let’s gather our families, tune in, and let the voice of the Lord speak peace, direction, and courage to our hearts. Whether you watch from your couch or the kitchen counter, you are chosen to hear Him.

💛 Ministering Reminder

“See that line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me.”

The Spirit calls us, too—toward people who need light, a visit, a smile, or a prayer. Ministering is about listening to that nudge and saying, “I’ll go.” You never know how far your reach might go.

🌺 Until We Sail Again…

Just like Moana answered the call to go beyond the reef, each of us is invited to trust the Lord and take faithful steps into the unknown. Whether you’re swinging on the dance floor, camping under the stars, or simply tuning into General Conference from your couch, remember—you were made for this moment. The Savior knows your name, your heart, and your potential. Let’s keep following the light, lifting others, and building Zion—wave by wave.

“There’s nowhere you could go that I won’t be with you.” – Moana’s Grandma Tala

Have a beautiful week, and we’ll see you back on shore soon 💛
